An event was held at Bunnings Warrawong to assemble 200 possum boxes to give to welfare groups to take into fire affected bushland. Local Scouting members from the environment team assisted with the making of these boxes. Bird box kits for kids were also put together as well.

Animal pouches made by St Georges Basin Venturers were donated to WIRES to also be used in the fire affected bushland.
